The Overwatch first year anniversary event saw every hero in the game getting a new and unique dance. They range from festive, cheery, gloomy, and graceful. However, some dances just caught the groove a little better than others for me and that's what I'm here to write about. These are my favorite dances ranked from worst to best for every hero in Overwatch.

Sorry Reaper fans, but his dance is just... lackluster. I got to give the dev. team credit where credit is due, they really kept him in character with this dance. A light tap of the foot and almost an impulse to start dancing a bit further.
Personally, I would have killed to see Reaper dance a bit of Salsa or Bachata. Something a little spicier.
I love how happy Orisa is during the dance but sadly it's very... plain. I'm not sure if she's supposed to be doing an equine dance or a tribal African dance. Either way there's not much substance to it, she just does a one two (three four?) and then claps every other time.
22. Soldier: 76
Seriously Blizzard, what the hell is this? No, seriously what is this? You could have had him do a rifle drill or a ballroom dance or literally anything but whatever this is. I honestly don't even understand the reference.
Is it skip to my Lou? Jump rope? Some European dance I know nothing about? Yeah that last one is probably it. All in all, not what I expected for Soldier: 76
I expected some type of physical fitness dance from Zarya. Maybe the traditional aerobic Russian dance. Instead we get what is basically a more fit version of the old Richard Simmons fitness videos.
I'm not calling it a bad dance, it's just not what I expected. I really wanted to see Zarya squat and start moving those legs like a true русский (Ruskie).
While seeing Roadhog do the cabbage patch is pretty funny, it's a pretty lame dance. I was expecting Roadhog to show off his true athleticism with maybe the Sam B Dance or something like that. While in character, it's a very plain dance with nothing much to it.
Graceful and relaxing, Zenyatta's dance shows how truly graceful and at peace he is with the universe. However, I'm really tired of seeing the stereotypical "I'm a cool, calm, and collected patient guy who does the same exact Tai Chi dance as every other cool calm and collected video game character."
Personally, I think a "Jump through my leg" dance would have been hilarious.
Torbjorns dance is incredibly comical. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be but it could be a dwarf's hard attempt at the Carlton dance. Not the best dance in the game, but man was it a funny one seeing it for the first time.
While I first thought it was an Irish jig it actually turned out that Ana's dance is a Saidi belly dance move. As cool as it may be, it's rather plain. She skips twice then twirls and does it all again. Mama Ana should stretch some more to get her groove on harder.
One of the most famous dance's to come from an anime, the Haruhi dance is a popular one among anime fans. However, I still think Ezreal from League of Legends did it better. Mei does look incredibly cute while doing this dance, though.
What? Winston's twist is this high up? Well yeah, he's having so much fun with it! This gorilla isn't afraid to get down. Sure it might be old timey and out of style, but if Pulp Fiction can bring it back, then why can't WInston?
Pharah is rocking out with her rockets out. Well, maybe not that hard, they are very explosive ordinances after all.
She seems so into it, who knew this Egyptian was a Van Halen fan? The true question still remains, though; Can we get five stars on "Through the Fire and Flames?"
What is this dance? That's a question no man can answer. However, Genji's dance is still a very stylish and very energetic dance. I'm not exactly sure what he's dancing to but its probably lit to make him just make up his own dance like that.
Now that's a true slice of belly dancing culture that Symmetra brought out in her dance. I love how she flows so seamlessly and her twirls are 10/10. While I'm still judging dance moves, however, her feet don't move too much and that irks me for some reason.
The traditional Japanese fisherman dance seems fitting for Hanzo. He's a very traditional Japanese kind of man who takes the mores and customs of his ancestry very seriously, so much so that he left his heritage after he dishonored it.
However, he still can't go without his traditions, and this dance proves it.
While I wish it went on a bit longer, this dance is everything I asked for in a McCree dance emote. The perfect line dancing, the revolver hands, and the hat tip. A true gentleman of the Wild Wild West.
While I think her footwork looks super amateur in this hustle, I can't help but look at how happy and cute Mercy looks when she performs the dance. She can shake her hips and make your heart skip a beat with her beauty.
The floating during the twirls was also a nice touch.
I'm not 100% sure where Bastion's dance comes from but I loved every minute of it. The movement of his arms, the jump rope, and finally the thrusting all just looks so out of character for Bastion but it just works.
Come to think of it, now Bastion has two dances, the Robot and whatever this one is.
Like Bastion, D.Va now comes equipped with two dances with this one clearly being the better of the two. I actually know where this dance comes from too! It's from a Robot Chicken skit of Voltron in a dance-off. D.Va sure has dance skills with that suit of hers.
Now that is a graceful Smurfette sniper. Being a French Beauty with no Beast she can't take care of, she sure shows her heritage with a traditional ballet routine.
Graceful, dexterous, and absolutely stunning, she's a stone cold killer with an artistic (more like brainwashed) passion behind it.
I don't know what it is but seeing Junkrat do the Running Man with his prosthetic makes me giggle every time. Being a huge Junkrat fan and a Junkrat main, I couldn't think of a better dance for him to be honest.
Play some "Smooth Criminal" by MJ and you got yourself a sick Junkrat anthem and dance.
Now this mamacita can dance! Shuffling may not be the hardest thing to do, but Sombra's footwork is definitely something to strive for. While I wish she did a more Latin dance, this fits perfectly with her rave girl aesthetics and she sure does kill it out on the dance floor.
Lucio coming at you! The man with the best beats in the Overwatch universe also has one of the best dances in the game. Those skates really help drive home the roller skate break dances moves that you'll see Lucio performing.
A very smooth and energetic dance for a smooth and energetic dude.
Seriously, how is this man single? A towering, rugged, German soldier with the strength of Hercules and the charm of Apollo. The Waltz he does with his hammer shows his softer, charming side while demonstrating superior footwork and technique.
Seriously though, how is Reinhardt still single? Is Brigitte his partner? I need answers because I refuse to believe it!
Without a doubt my favorite dance in Overwatch is Tracer's. Her little Cha Cha at the beginning transitions into a very upbeat and energetic Charleston dance.
This dance is everything I could ask for for Tracer and more. It's got the footwork, it's got the British appeal, it's got the cute giddiness associated with Tracer. It's the perfect dance for her and it's the best dance in the game hands down.
