Thaiger Uppercut saw the region's best Street Fighter V Asian talent take to the stage in another stacked tournament. The point reward may have been small, but the results of the tournament will shape the upcoming Asia Regional Finals at the end of the year.

Kun Xian Ho took the first place victory, his second of the year, over Li-Wei "Oil King" Lin. Xian had to bring it all the way back from losers after taking a loss to Oil King in winners finals of the tournament.

Oil King was able to move himself into the running to qualify for the Asia Regional Finals with his placing at Thaiger Uppercut. It'll be some time before other Asian players can shake up the standings in the region.

With EVO quickly approaching, every tournament victory is a well-needed confidence boost going into the biggest tournament of the year.
