Kim "EFFECT" Hyeon, professional Overwatch player and DPS for Team EnVyUs, has begun practicing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Why? In his words, Overwatch's future is unstable.
EFFECT described his reasoning yesterday on Twitter. "I'm going to play csgo in my spare time after overwatch practice. Because overwatch's future is frankly unstable, i think. I will play overwatch as in my usual practice but it will helpful for my aim practice if I play other fps game than playing osu or battleground, and maybe I can see other future if I'm good at that game."
This news comes only three months after EFFECT joined Team EnVyUs.
Blizzard still have yet to announce an official start date for the Overwatch League and have had difficulties with teams pulling out of the league before it's begun. However, they have reassured fans that they're working with endemic esports organizations to help them find a place in the league, and that more details will be coming soon.
