There has been a growing problem in Overwatch esports since the announcement of the Overwatch League (OWL). It all started with the disbanding of TSM, Red Reserve, and now compLexity, all within in the same week. More and more teams have joined the movement of disbanding including: Th0nkersNinjas in Pyjamas, Fnatic, Spylce,Team Dignitas, You Guys Get Paid?, and now LDLC.

LDLC took it upon themselves to use their disbanding announcement as a way to let Blizzard know the reason that all these teams have been disbanding comes down to their poor handling of the esport.

"...The strategic choice of Blizzard Entertainment, which don’t help clubs like ours to continue to invest in this game, make us decide to stop the story," said LDLC in their announcement.

While LDLC didn't refer directly to the Overwatch League in their statement, the astounding majority of teams that have disbanded have stated the uncertainty of the OWL has been the cause of their Overwatch exodus.

Is the Overwatch League now doomed before it ever leaves the gate? Has Blizzard taken too long from announcement to implementation? What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments below!
