Actor and comedian Terry Crews, who is well known for his role as the mascot character in the Old Spice adverts, has responded to the news that he will not be voicing Overwatch's newest hero, Doomfist.
Crews was not given the role of voicing the character despite him saying in the past that he would take the opportunity if it arose. The voice actor role instead went to theatre director and actor, Sahr Ngaujah.
Whilst Sahr Ngaujah's voice ties in more with Doomfist's Nigerian origin in-game, fans are still disappointed that they do not get to experience Terry Crews' macho-man antics and energy. Doomfist's reveal has been generally well-received, however, some fans are angry at Blizzard Entertainment for teasing Terry Crews' involvement for months.
Terry Crews recently entered the world of gaming earlier this year when he set out on a goal to spend more time with his son, Isaiah. Since then, Terry Crews has become engrossed with Overwatch and has personally met with the game directors on trips to the official studios.
With Terry Crews' Doomfist officially off the table, it might not mean that we don't see him in game in the future.
