GT-X 2017's trailer just dropped and it's absolutely gorgeous. Not only that, but it highlighted some of the talent going and revealed the amount of prize money on the line. So far this event is looking to be nothing short of amazing.

The event is taking place in the Vivint Smarthome Arena in Salt Lake City a massive space commonly used to showcase basketball. For this weekend, however, it's going to be converted into a competitive esports arena where the best-of-the-best will clash.

Top talents Gonzalo "Zero" Barrio and Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma have been confirmed to be in attendance for their respective Smash titles. Likewise, commentator talents Phil "EE" Visu, Terrence "TKBreezy" Kershaw, and Brandon "HomeMadeWaffles" Collier will be present to bring the hype.

Matthew "MattDotZeb" Zaborowski and Bassem "bear" Dahdouh are in charge of making sure the Smash tournaments run smoothly and with their clean history of running tournaments ahead of schedule, there should be no worries.

GT-X will also feature major titles such as Street Fighter V, League of Legends, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, and more, each with enormous prize pools. The event has $100,000 on the line in prizes so any competitor should be sure to add this to their calendar.
