Throughout the year, 2GGaming has stopped hosting events with the prefix 2GGT and has switched over to 2GGC in order to remind everybody that their monthly events are giving out points for the massive circuit event they're running this year-- the  2GG Championship Series.

Most of the events have been themed in order to rationalize bringing out players who may not be seen as often. However, it's easy to forget that all of these events have points attached to them, too.

Points that, after the November Saga, will be tallied and the players with the most points will round out a group of 20 to complement the players who won 2GGC events outright.

First, there are the players who have won 2GGC Saga events and as such are automatically going to be competing for the $50k prize pool in December.

  • Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios - 578 points - won GENESIS Saga, Midwest Mayhem Saga, and Nairo Saga
  • Samuel "Dabuz" Buzby - 385 points - won Civil War and ARMS Saga
  • Elliot "Ally" Carroza - 145 points - won Greninja Saga.

By virtue of being winners, these three could sit at home watching others duke it out for auto spots in the final event, but there's no way that they'll do that.

The next tier of players are the ones who look as though they should make it into the finals right now, as they all have at least 60 points.

  • Rei "Komorikiri" Furukawa - 150 points - 3rd in points
  • Saleem "Salem" Young - 129 points - 5th in points
  • Griffin "Fatality" Miller - 128 points - 6th in points
  • Gavin "Tweek" Dempsey - 97 points - 7th in points
  • Larry "Larry Lurr" Holland - 82 points - 8th in points
  • Leonardo "MKLeo" Leo - 72 points - 9th in points
  • Isami "T" Ikeda - 64 points - 10th in points
  • James "VoiD" Tyson - 60 points - 11th in points

Although there's still a handful of events left, it would be rather surprising if some of these players didn't continue to accumulate points. T seems to be the only one who may fall off as he has very few opportunities to be in the US.

Here are the names of the players that would qualify if the tournament happened right now.

  • Nairoby "Nairo" Quezada - 40 points - 12th in points (tie)
  • Kengo "KEN" Suzuki - 40 points - 12th in points (tie)
  • Zack "CaptainZack" Lauth - 35 points - 14th in points
  • Yuta "Abadango" Kawamura - 27 points - 15th in points
  • Tyler "Marss" Martins - 18 points - 16th in points (tie)
  • Mason "Locus" Charlton - 18 points - 16th in points (tie)
  • Jason "ANTi" Bates - 17 points - 18th in points
  • Nicholas "Ned" Dovel - 16 points - 19th in points (tie)
  • Noriyuki "Kirihara" Kirihara - 16 points - 19th in points (tie)

Players on this list such as Nairo, CaptainZack, Abadango, and perhaps even ANTi could definitely shoot up during the latter half of the circuit, so watch out!

Finally, the unfortunate handful of players who currently are not within the top 20 range in points. They should be thankful for the remaining events.

  • Chris "falln" Rugg - 14 points - 21st in points (tie)
  • Ramin "Mr. R" Delshad - 14 points - 21st in points (tie)
  • Matt "Elegant" Fitzpatrick - 13 points - 23rd in points
  • Jamaal "Samsora" Morris - 12 points - 24th in points (tie)
  • Eita "HIKARU" Hoshi - 12 points - 24th in points (tie)

It's hard to not be surprised that Mr. R is so low on the list, but now that he finally has a sponsor again, his placement on the list should be shooting up.
