Genesis: Red has come to an end and the brackets are complete. If you didn't have a chance to experience it live, then look no further.

Singles was actually a bit of a hot topic, with seeding being changed the day of and various players such as Jack "Crush" Hoyt taking to Twitter about the unfairness of the original seeding.

As the night went on, the top eight consisted of Zac "SFAT" Cordoni, Kashan "Chillindude829" Khan, Kyle "dizzkidboogie" Athahyde, Mustafa "Ice" Akcakaya, Austin "Azusa" Demmon, Colin "Colbol" Green, Dajuan "Shroomed" McDaniel and Jack "Crush" Hoyt.

Many were impressed by Crush's performance where he managed to beat Ice to make it into winners side of top eight. As the event winded down, dizzkidboogie managed to slay mostly everyone in his path making his way into grand finals.

In a close first set, dizzkid was able to conquer SFAT 3-2 before losing the second set and thus acquiring a solid second place finish for himself. SFAT on the other hand, did well to win the tournament in almost as few sets as possible staying in winners up until the very end.

The event serves as practice for the elephant in the room, EVO which will be this coming weekend. So hopefully the players were able to get their Melee fix before entering their final stretch of practice
