Super Smash Con has attracted three of the five Gods of Melee, among other top twenty players who will most likely squash the chance that anyone other than a god will make it to grand finals this weekend.

The odds are stacked most heavily in Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma's favor. He is the favorite of the tournament, given his performance this year. No one has figured out how to crack open the defensive player except for the five gods and the godslayer, William "Leffen" Hjelte, and even they only find relative success against Hungrybox.

The other spot in Grand Finals will depend on the performance of three players. The other two gods, Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman and Joseph "Mang0" Marquez have the best chance for making it to grand finals.

Mang0 is the favored player between the two. However, Leffen is also in bracket and will pose a threat to all three gods; he has shown time and time again that he can go toe-to-toe with the best.

The most likely outcome of the tournament will have Mang0 against Hungrybox in the grand finals. If Leffen gets sent to the losers bracket, there is a high chance he will run into Mew2King, a player he struggles against.

Mew2King will move on unless Leffen has found an answer to his kryptonite. Mew2King struggles against Mang0 more often than not, and may even get sent to losers bracket by him.

Each of these players follow a certain dynamic when all four are in play, and the pattern may be repeated this weekend: Leffen loses to Mew2King, Mew2King loses to Mang0, then Mang0 and Hungrybox have a relatively equal grand finals. Only this time, Mang0 will edge out the victory.
