Following the scatter of OpTic Gaming, James "hazed" Cobb was left with little direction as to where to go next. However, it has just been announced that hazed has found a team.

The next chapter of hazed's career will unfold under the Muffin Lightning banner, where he replaced Joshua "sancz" Ballenger. It's likely he will assume the role of the in-game leader, for hazed is most well-known for his strategic and tactical mind.

For this reason, he has been OpTic Gaming' fifth man for months and has been filling in as a desk analyst for DreamHack Open Montreal.

Following the addition of hazed, the Muffin Lighting roster looks as followed:

  • Samuel "SileNt" Portillo
  • Justin "just9n" Ortiz
  • Adam "aKis" Kisseberth
  • Ryan "ichibaNNN" Colucci
  • James "hazed" Cobb

The break up of OpTic Gaming's North American CS:GO roster left many players as free agents. Tarik "tarik" Celik and Will "RUSH" Wierzba were immediately picked up by Cloud9 while Keith "NAF FLY" Markovic was acquired by Renegades. Oscar "mixwell" Canellas stayed with OpTic, where four other EU players joined in. And now that hazed has joined Muffin Lightning, the NA dream of OpTic Gaming has been completely shut down.

The new team will participate in next season of Mountain Dew League.
