It seems like this is a match made in heaven. Two of the greatest representatives of NA Dota 2 have come together at last to bring the scene to new heights. It was announced Sunday on Grant "GranDGranT" Harris' stream that he would be joining Evil Geniuses as a streamer.
This seemed to be a pairing that was just waiting to happen. GranDGranT has been a supporter of Evil Geniuses for a while now, as was mentioned in the Facebook post. He says that he's been watching the team since the early 2000's when Starcraft and Dota ruled the esports landscape. He goes on to say how he views EG as a family, not as just some team.
GranDGranT has been slowly but surely making a name for himself as a caster at some premier events. Many have believed that due to his on-stream persona and enthusiastic nature this has held him back from casting big events in the past. Lately, however, he has been a regular at The Summit and even was a panelist for the 2017 Manila Masters tournament.
Hot damn, @GranDGranT is a part of EG now. Welcome homie, big fan.— Clinton Loomis (@FearDotA) October 2, 2017
Hopefully this partnership will mean that GranDGranT will be seen casting many more tournaments. He is one of the most knowledgeable people about the NA Dota scene and offers a valuable insight to whichever game he is covering.
With such an old and respected organization backing him, it will be fun to watch what he does now.
