Today was a day for blowouts, as both Cloud9 and Astralis 2-0'd their respective opponents. Read ahead for quick recap on the days events.

Cloud9 2:0 G2 Esports

Cloud9 made light work of G2 Esports, not even breaking a sweat over the course of their two game series. The benefitted from fantastic team play, and great performances by Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Tarik "tarik" Celik.

Tarik had a great second game, picking up 31 kills in their easy win. G2 looked rough, seemingly unable to play at the level we were getting accustomed to seeing. They just weren't up to snuff today, and have eliminated from the competition.

Astralis 2:0 Fnatic

Astralis had an equally dominant performance, making Fnatic look like a much worse team than they actually are. Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz were the two key players for Astralis, with both of them going over +30 in terms of K/D for the series. Fnatic unfortunately couldn't compete, and they have been sent home as a result.

This means that Cloud9 and Astralis will be facing off in the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier Semifinals coming up on Oct 12 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Make sure you check out the stream on ELEAGUE's official Twitch channel. Also, head over to our YouTube channel for more CS:GO content.
