Dreamhack Winter 2017 provided plenty of drama and intrigue and ended with a bang with Natus Vincere defeating mousesports in the Grand Final. With that, Na'Vi's very own Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev received the Most Valuable Player award for the weekend.

He was already the favorite to be named MVP of the event before Championship Sunday even began, but solidified the choice with his performance in the Grand Final against mousesports.

He posted ratings over 1.0 all weekend, with his best rated performance coming in the first map against mousesports at 2.18 and a kill-death ratio of 26-9.

S1mple's overall average rating for the tournament was 1.52, even having good games in Na'Vi's only losses. He posted 65 kills in the marathon match against Gambit on Inferno with a rating of 1.58. Their loss against Heroic he still had a rating of 1.37.

Natus Vincere and s1mple showed glimpses of their old selves during Dreamhack Winter and will certainly relish the chance to improve upon this performance. S1mple deserved his MVP award as he was the best player on the best team in Jonkoping, Sweden.
