5 Support Champions That Are Easy to Learn
With preseason coming close to an end, now is the time to learn a new role! As a suggestion, it is much easier to learn a less skillful champion when going into a new role, rather than playing one who is harder to understand and within the meta choices. So here are our top five champion suggestions for learning support!
5. Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank is definitely a good choice if you plan on being aggressive in lane. Most people like to just throw out some Q grabs, but a good strategy is to speed yourself up with W and knock them up with Power Fist first. That could force a summoner spell like heal or flash, before throwing out a Q. A lot of the time, the thought of being grabbed scares most people under tower, so just zone them away from cs with your beautiful and golden, robot body.
4. Sona
Sona is one of the best healers in the game and possibly the only sustain support able to keep up with an enemy Soraka. However, with Sona, you are also able to deal quite a bit of damage in lane alongside your your ADC with your Q damage plus your passive! As long as you're focussing that Soraka to deny heals to the enemy ADC, you should easily be able to win your lane.
3. Leona
Leona is among one of the easier tank supports with the hardest parts being landing all of your skillshots and deciding when to engage.
Even then, leading with your ultimate guarantees a Zenith Blade hit, followed by your Q stun! Leona can also provide support all over the map pre-six as well with some early Mobility Boots, Ignite and some confidence in your skill shots.
2. Alistar
Alistar is another easy tank to play and your combo is super simple.
All you have to do is Headbutt (W) and Pulverize (Q) in quick succession and your team will do the rest of the work. Once you've done your combo, activate your Trample (E) in order to get a stun off on an enemy and your job is done! If your ultimate is available, be sure to activate it before taking too much damage.
More combos include flashing onto your enemies and pulverizing. While the team is up in the air, headbutt a squishy target into your own team to kill them quickly before moving on to the rest of the team!
1. Soraka
To start off in the support role, Soraka is a great choice!
Being one of the strongest healers in the game, you can easily keep your adc partner alive during skirmishes and team fights. However, you're extremely squishy and the enemy team is likey to focus on you during team fights if not positioned correctly!
