Polish Counter-Strike team Virtus.pro has informed veteran Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas that he will be replaced on the active lineup, according to multiple sources. The Virtus.pro and Kinguin organization are expected to meet in the coming days to discuss a buyout for Michał "MICHU" Müller.

A source has explained that MICHU’s buyout is upwards of 250,000 Euro (about $310,000), making him one of the more expensive players on the Counter-Strike market. Should the two organizations not come to an agreement on a buyout price, Virtus.pro would then look to acquire a player from AGO Gaming. In addition to this move, the team has warned Filip "NEO" Kubski that he will also be replaced if the team’s performance doesn’t improve.

Replacing TaZ would bring an end to the longest standing lineup in CS:GO history, which has played together since 2013. During their time together they won multiple events and a Major, ESL One: Katowice 2014. Year after year, Virtus.pro has been known for struggling for months at a time only to resurface among the world’s best at premier events. Last year began on a high note with a runner up finish at the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta and first place at DreamHack Las Vegas. The rest of the year, though, was largely forgettable. VP’s last place finish at the ELEAGUE Boston Major was the first group stage exit at a Major since DreamHack Winter 2013.

For years, MICHU has been referred to as the No. 1 prospect in Poland, playing with the Virtus.pro roster on four separate occasions as a stand-in for Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski. Kinguin recently replaced Grzegorz "SZPERO" Dziamałek and Kacper "kap3r" Słoma with Ricardo "fox" Pacheco and Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes at the start of the year. It is unclear who would replace MICHU on that lineup should he leave to Virtus.pro.

Virtus.pro did not respond to a request for comment.
