OpTic Gaming coach Chet “ImAPet” Singh is exploring potential options with other organizations, according to multiple sources. ImAPet has not been satisfied with his time OpTic and will look to move on from the organization if an opportunity presents itself.

After joining Counter Logic Gaming as an analyst in 2016, ImAPet took over as head coach in December 2016, helping the team achieve a semifinal appearance at last year’s DreamHack Open Summer. A short time later, he joined OpTic, only to lose star players Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Tarik “tarik” Celik to Cloud9 a few weeks later. The only player who remained under the OpTic banner was Óscar “mixwell” Cañellas.

OpTic added multiple star players in late August from different european countries, including Adam “Friberg” Friberg, Aleksi “allu” Jalli, Emil “magisk” Reif and Kevin “HS” Tarn. They competed in North America for Season 6 of ESL Pro League and ECS Season 3, losing in the quarterfinals of both playoff stages.

Neither ImAPet nor OpTic Gaming responded to initial requests for comment.
