Estonian rifler Kevin “HS” Tarn is in discussions with Renegades about filling the open spot left by the departure of Keith "NAF" Markovic, according to multiple sources. With the ESL Pro League roster lock coming Wednesday, many teams have little time left to make a change. Following the lock, each team is only allowed two changes per season.

After making a name for himself on PENTA Sports last year, HS joined OpTic Gaming in August as the organization transitioned its roster to a full European lineup. OpTic has achieved limited success since acquiring the new lineup, which also featured Adam “friberg” Friberg, Aleksi “allu” Jalli, Emil “Magisk” Reif and the lone holdover from the previous OpTic lineup, Oscar “mixwell” Canellas. OpTic finished 5-6th place at both IEM Oakland and at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals. The team withdrew from CS Summit 2 and the IEM Katowice Qualifier as uncertainty swirls about the roster’s future.

DBLTAP previously reported OpTic coach Chet “ImAPet” Singh is looking to move on from the organization should an opportunity present itself. Since joining the organization, he has had limited time with each OpTic lineup before changes transpired.

NAF left Renegades after five months to re-join Team Liquid, replacing longtime member Josh “jdm64” Marzano. At the ELEAGUE Major: Boston, Renegades nearly missed the New Legends Stage by finishing 2-3 in the New Challengers stage. Last season in ESL Pro League, Renegades finished in ninth place, failing to qualify for the LAN finals.

Representatives from Renegades and OpTic Gaming could not initially be reached for comment.
