Overwatch League team Los Angeles Valiant have hired veteran Korean Overwatch coach Byung Chul "MBC" Moon to be their new head coach.
Moon has an established history of coaching players in Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm. Coaching for the team Mighty AOD in Korea, Moon has past experience with current Valiant players, Pan-Seung “Fate” Koo and Young-Seo “KariV” Park.
In a statement Valiant CEO Noah Whinston had this to say about the newest addition to the team, “I really appreciate Coach MBC’s outlook on how to make a team synergize well together,” said Whinston. "I expect that the team is going to both perform better, but more importantly, become more self-sufficient and proactive at identifying and solving their own issues.”
It's a slight surprise that Henry "Cuddles" Coxall has already lost his job, but esport coaches are hard to come by and a young esport like Overwatch will have a larger turnover rate.
