Virtus.pro came ahead early in the series after winning an early game team fight against ViCi Gaming. Virtus.pro might have lost the Aegis in the early battle but it wasn't enough to stop VP from getting the first win of the series.
Game 2 was more of the same for Virtus.pro, winning another team fight but this time dominating in a team wipe of ViCi Gaming. Virtus.pro was clicking on all cylinders, winning another key team fight before taking Rosh and sealing the victory.
ViCi Gaming finally started showing some signs of life in Game 3. The team landed a four man dream coil into a four man Blinding light. It was a big play when Virtus.pro was still far behind and it was good enough to send ViCi Gaming over the top for the victory.
The final game of the series showed that Virtus.pro had shaken off Game 3 and were ready to seal the deal. A mid game pick-off of three ViCi Gaming players put VP on the path to taking home the trophy.
Virtus.pro played a safe and controlled game with the lead and held on for the tournament-clinching victory.
Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosyan was awarded the Mercedes Benz MVP award from fans who voted at home. Virtus.pro will go home with $400,000 in prize money and 750 Pro Circuit Points that will help them earn a spot in the International 8.
