The massive Overwatch Sombra buffs Blizzard recently implemented will be turned back, according to Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo from the Fusion University during a stream earlier today.

When asked about Sombra possibly being nerfed, ZachaREEE informed viewers that an upcoming nerf has not been publicly confirmed by Blizzard, but it is in the works. Blizzard apparently told professional Overwatch League and Overwatch Contenders players who complained about the Sombra buffs that she will be getting nerfed.

Players like the Dallas Fuel's Christian "Cocco" Jonsson have expressed their thoughts on the "Sombra meta," with reactions ranging from delight at a different team composition or frustration.

ZachaREEE did not give any indication of when Blizzard would be planning to roll out Sombra nerfs or what Blizzard would nerf specifically. One of the largest complaints players have had about the new Sombra is her increased hacking speed.

Jeff Kaplan posted a chart showing the win rates of offense heroes in Overwatch the other day, with Sombra still at the very bottom of the list. Although her win rate appears to have increased since the patch, she is hardly dominating. She's a threat to tanks, and support heroes like Zenyatta, but she has not become a must pick to ensure victory.

The Overwatch team is currently focused on the fine-tuning of Brigitte, who is playable on the Public Test Region, before her eventual release to all live Overwatch servers.
