Los Angeles Valiant announced the newest addition to their coaching staff for the Overwatch League: Warsi Faraaz "Stoop" Waris. Coach Waris will be the head coach of the secondary roster while current head coach Byung Chul “MBC” Moon will remain in charge of the starting roster.
Stoop used to be a professional player before becoming a coach. He played on both Team EnvyUS and Fnatic as a tank. After this, he joined the coaching staff at Mosaic eSports.
With LA Valiant, Stoop will lead the secondary roster with "scrims, VOD reviews, and other key areas of player development." Additionally, Stoop will "liaise with the entire LA Valiant coaching staff in strategy development and player scouting."
Los Angeles Valiant finished Stage 1 in 4th place with a record of 7-3 and is currently in 6th place with a record of 4-4. It's not the record Valiant would have liked, but they're not the only team slipping. The Houston Outlaws have recently fallen on hard times while teams like the LA Gladiators are making strides.
