Echo Fox have signed Victor "Punk" Woodley to its roster of fighting game players. He will be joined by Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi, Yusuke Momochi, and Justin Wong on the current roster of Street Fighter players.
Punk had a stellar year of competition, dominating throughout the Capcom Pro Tour season to secure first place in the standings at the end of the year. He grabbed a big win at the ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational last year, placed second at Evo and 9th place at Capcom Cup. Punk has now left his team, Panda Global, to pursue more lucrative deals in the offseason.
Echo Fox owner Rick Fox had a positive sentiment to the signing stating, "We’re honored to have Victor “Punk” Woodley, one of the most exciting names in the fighting games genre, join our Echo Fox family. I’m confident his talent will continue to solidify our position as one of the leading esports organizations across genres, and will strengthen our roster at this year’s NorCal Regionals."
Punk makes his debut with Echo Fox on March 30 at NorCal Regionals.
