Cloud9 announced today that Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip would be leaving the team.

Stewie2K had a strong 2017 season and is
I wanted to answer a question that several fans have been asking regarding Stewie. We had a multi year agreement signed a few months ago in place. However, Stew has been good to Cloud9 and when he requested a transfer we made every effort to respect his wishes.

Despite having a freshly signed multi-year contract in place, Cloud9 respected Stewie's wishes to leave the team.

Stewie will likely be headed to SK Gaming. He tweeted earlier today in Portuguese, which could say enough. According to DeKay's sources, he also spoke with some of the team members on SK about the possibility of joining.

In a TwitLonger, Stewie2K poured his heart out in support of Cloud9, and what the organization had done for him as an upcoming player. He didn't expect himself to ever leave Cloud9, but he is looking forward to the opportunity of working under leadership, instead of being the leader.

SK Gaming has made no official announcement about the acquisition of Stewie, but it is almost certain that he is taking his talents to the Brazilian squad.
