​Overwatch Archives, the new name for the game's seasonal lore-based event, went ​live on all servers Tuesday afternoon. With its launch came the return of Uprising along with a new game mode called Overwatch Retribution, which features ​Blackwatch members. 


Lead writer Michael Chu confirmed Tuesday that playing the Retribution event repeatedly will unlock more voice lines within the event, similar to last year's Uprising event.

The Retribution event allows players to choose from Blackwatch agents (Moira, Reaper, McCree, and Genji) and escape attacks from Talon on ​a new map. Much like last year's Uprising brawl, there are four difficulty settings from which to choose -- ranging from normal to legendary. But it looks like the more you play Retribution, the more event-exclusive in-game voice lines you can unlock.


These voice lines are not equippable. They are interactions between the four Blackwatch agents.

​​Overwatch Archives is live on all servers, and will run until April 30. Players have the chance to unlock ​eight new skins, including Blackwatch Moira, Scion Hanzo, Soldier 24 Reaper, Talon Sombra, ​Specimen 28 Winston, Talon Doomfist, ​Pyjamei and concept ​Lucio.
