The Dallas Fuel released DPS player Kim "Rascal" Dong-jun and head coach Kyle “KyKy” Souder following an 0-2 Stage 3 Week 2 performance, the team announced late Sunday night.

The team signed Meta Gaming's Kang "Vol’Jin" Min-Gyu to its coaching staff, and appointed assistant coach Emanuel “Peak” Uzoni as Interim Head Coach.

Michael "Hastr0" Rufail, owner of the Dallas Fuel and Team EnVyUs, thanked KyKy for his commitment to the team. "We will always appreciate Kyle’s commitment to this organization. He is a true competitor who coached our team through a great run and a Contenders championship," Rufail said in the post.

Hastr0 explained Rascal did not meet the team's expectations. One of the largest problems being "commitment" and an "unwillingness to communicate" with the rest of the Fuel. "We had hoped that Rascal could add flexibility to our DPS lineup on the team this season," Hastr0 said.

Prior to joining the Dallas Fuel, Rascal was on the London Spitfire -- a team that communicated in Korean. This was Rascal's first time on an English speaking team.

The team struggled to perform consistently in Stage 2 and have not had much luck in Stage 3 either with its sole win coming against the 0-24 Shanghai Dragons. The Fuel is set to play the San Francisco Shock on April 18.
