Waldyr Sant'Anna died on Saturday at the age of 81 years of undisclosed causes. The talented Brazilian voice actor was known in the gaming community for voicing League of Legends champions, Jax and Maokai

Outside of League of Legends, Waldyr Sant'Anna was most famous for his voice acting of Homer Simpson in the Brazilian version of "The Simpsons."

He also voiced characters in "Ben 10," "Felix the Cat," "Samurai Champloo," and "Yu Yu Hakusho." Outside of animated characters, he participated in several telenovelas, and dubbed over actors such as Stan Laurel, William Shatner, and Eddie Murphy.

In 2007 he stopped dubbing Homer after he and Fox got into a disagreement over copyright. Sant'Anna was a great defender of related copyrights, and spoke of the happening in several lectures and interviews in Brazil.
