Trevor May, a professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins, took to Twitter to express his desire to start an Overwatch League team for Seattle.

Trevor May is a professional MLB player but he is no stranger to esports. His current focus is on streaming, with a focus on professional Fortnite gaming. He is the CEO of Esports Lab and became an investor, streamer and brand ambassador for Luminosity Gaming. Esports Lab also helps teams scout, recruit and train its Overwatch players.

The Overwatch League debuted with 12 teams and Seattle was not one of them. Overwatch League commissioner Nate Nanzer revealed the goal is to expand to 28 teams, and recent reports suggest the league has its sights set on Europe.

If Overwatch League Season 2 introduces more teams, there is room for Seattle to potentially join. Seattle has been home of The International, the biggest Dota 2 tournament hosted by Valve, from 2012-2017.
