The Houston Outlaws announced on Thursday Kyle "KyKy" Souder as the team's newest assistant coach on Twitter.

In a campaign for the 2018 Overwatch World Cup, KyKy listed himself as a coach for the Houston team, but neither the team nor KyKy followed up with any official announcements until Thursday afternoon.

KyKy was the head coach for fellow Texas team, Dallas Fuel, but was ultimately released in the middle of Stage 3. The Fuel struggled in Stage 2 and did not improve in Stage 3. The Dallas Fuel ended Stage 3 in 11th place in the stage rankings, above the Shanghai Dragons who sport a 30 game loss streak.

The Overwatch League concluded Stage 3, naming the New York Excelsior as the Stage 3 champions. The league and its players have a week break before the beginning of Stage 4 on May 16. Brigitte joins the list of playable heroes in Stage 4. The Houston Outlaws kick off their next campaign when they play the London Spitfire on May 1.
