This League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational match was very hyped up because of the EU vs. NA rivalry. Both Fnatic and Liquid won their respective spring splits so this match should have been a good indication of which region had the strongest team.
If you're an NA fan, then there weren't very many good moments for you in the match, but EU fans certainly had a lot to celebrate about.
4. Caps Trades Kills
Rasmus "Caps" Winther went one for one in this exchange, but that was pretty darn good in a 2-v-5 scenario. He showed just how versatile a player he can be by bringing out the Yasuo against Liquid and absolutely crushing.
The most impressive part of this play was that the opponent he kills is Olaf, who used Ragnarok to avoid being knocked up and ulted, but still died.
3. Rekkles Positioning
EU LCS MVP, Martin "Rekkles" Larsson, is easily one of the best ADCs in the world at the moment and he showed one of the many reasons why in this highlight.
His positioning was fantastic as he managed to stay out of range of everyone but Olaf. He then easily killed the Olaf, and pressed forward, leaving destruction in his wake.
Ultimately Caps stole his pentakill, Rekkles' quadra was nothing to scoff at.
2. 2-v-2 kill
Zdravets "Hylissang" Galabov made this one look easy as he jumped forward on Braum and completely caught Liquid off guard.
His early ignite and passive proc during the Tristana Rocket Jump was what made this play so impressive, because the ignite negated Tristana's heal and the stun allowed follow up damage after Rocket Jump, something that is not normally possible.
1. Hylissang and Rekkles Outplay Doublelift
This play was a thing of beauty because there are a couple levels to it. First, notice the ward that Hylissang has placed in order to see Peter "Doublelift" Peng as he walked toward the river.
He then had the experience to wait in the bush and immediately pull the trigger on his ultimate, knowing that although he was only hitting one target, it was Tristana and a kill on her puts her team at a huge disadvantage
Rekkles even stayed nearby to tempt Doublelift to walk forward and provided the damage needed to ultimately kill him before Doublelift could contribute to the fight.
