Actor Terry Crews was asked a question about Overwatch, more specifically Doomfist, during an automated Google search interview with WIRED to promote the movie Deadpool 2.

Crews was asked why he is not voicing Doomfist in Overwatch. He explained that it "just didn't work out" and mentioned he is voicing his own playable character in Crackdown 3.

He is extremely passionate about Overwatch, which is a fact that might be unknown to newer fans. Crews in talks about becoming a potential candidate for the voice of Doomfist before his release. Many fans were upset he was ultimately not chosen to play Doomfist, though Crews explained he was happy with the decision regardless.

"When I saw that Doomfist was created, that they’d went with another guy, the whole thing, it’s actually quite perfect, it’s absolutely amazing. I can honestly say that they made a move that’s better for the game, which is what they’re about. I know people were upset but I’m not," Crews said.

Doomfist was one of the heroes who received a legendary skin during the Retribution event. Although the event recently ended, the new Anniversary event begins on May 22 and it will allow players to unlock cosmetics from past events.
