Although OpTic Gaming's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster went through a few changes, it is set to play at DreamHack Open Austin 2018, according to an announcement by the DreamHack Twitter.
DBLTAP's report first detailed the transfer of players Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and Jacob “JUGi” Hansen from Heroic to OpTic Gaming. The team announced the acquisition shortly after. Casper "ruggah" Due also joined the organization.
OpTic Gaming is one of the invited teams to DreamHack Open Austin 2018. The rest of the directly invited teams have yet to be revealed. Rogue took first place in the North American qualifiers for DreamHack Austin, securing its spot as a participating team. It is joined by the winner of the European qualifier: Fragsters.
DreamHack Open Austin runs from June 1-3. Eight teams from around the world will compete for their share in the $100,000 prize pool in two groups that consist of four teams in each.
