The charity event launched May 8, giving players the opportunity to purchase a new Pink Mercy skin during the duration of the event. Until Monday, all sales from the skin, limited edition Mercy shirt, along with all donations and Bits from certain Twitch streams, will go directly toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Blizzard already promised a $250,000 donation minimum to BCRF.
Many of the Overwatch League teams showed their support for the cause by creating pink versions of their icons, which can be seen on their respective Twitter accounts and Discord servers for the event. The Los Angeles Gladiators wore pink ribbons in support to their first game of the Overwatch League Stage 4 on Wednesday.
