NRG has announced that Chet "Imapet" Singh will replace Ian “Immi” Harding confirming an earlier DBLTAP report that NRG eSports would be parting ways with the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach.

Imapet has coaching and analyst experience with Counter Logic Gaming and most recently OpTic Gaming. His most recent significant showing was with OpTic during the Esports Championship Series Season 4 Finals where the team finished 5-6th.

The move to acquire Imapet follows behind NRG's group stage exit at the Season 7 ESL Pro League Finals and a visa situation that held Immi back from coaching the team at the event. NRG finished second on the North American side of the ESL Pro League regular season, but fell to Heroic and mousesports at the event. NRG also finished first on the North American side of the Esports Championship Series Season 5 regular season during Immi's time with the time.

As for the future, Immi wrote in his Twitter post that he is, "eager to IGL or coach/analyst" and thanked Damian "daps" Steele and Derrick Truong, general manager for NRG for giving him the chance to prove himself as a coach.

NRG's next event is StarLadder StarSeries Season 5 on May 28 through June 3.
