Master Chief makes his return in Halo Infinite, the newest game in the Halo series that Microsoft revealed today at E3.
After being relegated to a lesser role in Halo 5, Master Chief is featured in the Halo Infinite trailer holding his signature helmet, a sign fans have taken to mean he will be heavily involved in the game.
Halo Infinite marks the eighth Halo game in the series but will be the first rendered in the new Slipspace engine. Microsoft has already said that this will be a "new Halo experience" so it remains to be seen how exactly the story will play out or if they were merely referring to the graphics.

Until now each game has been similar to the previous version with some minor updates. Hopefully the new experience Microsoft has touted will take give players a new story line with additional features while maintaining the same Halo mystique.
