5 Best Team Compositions for Overwatch Competitive 3-v-3 Elimination

Sprays and icons for a mini season of competitive 3-v-3 Elimination were found on the Overwatch Public Test Region. Although it's more than likely this new mini competitive season will go live with the next event, Summer Games, it's never too early to start planning teams.

Players can go in a number of directions for 3-v-3 Elimination, but having a balanced team is the safest bet in Overwatch. Keeping in mind that 3-v-3 Elimination locks out heroes after a round is won, here are four different team compositions that would work great for competitive 3-v-3 Elimination.

4. Zenyatta, Roadhog, Widowmaker

A number of 3-v-3 Elimination maps like Necropolis are perfect for snipers. The open areas create amazing opportunities for players to headshot unsuspecting enemies walking out from buildings. Zenyatta's Orb of Discord can help Widowmaker secure kills with her scoped shots, even if she gets bodyshots more often. Roadhog is a chaotic tank that can hook enemies that focus on Zenyatta, or stop certain ultimates as they go on.

Zenyatta can provide healing to Widowmaker from far away, and Roadhog's Take a Breather ensures reliable healing when Zenyatta's Orb of Harmony isn't enough.

3. Ana, Reinhardt, Brigitte

The days when Ana was meta might be long gone, but she is great for the smaller teams in 3-v-3 Elimination. Everyone knows how great Ana and Reinhardt are together, but Brigitte and Reinhardt's synergy is just as strong. Her stuns can provide great opportunities for Reinhardt to Earthshatter, or even help stop flankers.

Brigitte can look out for Ana, too. She can heal Ana when her Biotic Grenade is on cooldown, and peel if the situation calls for it.

2. Sombra, Moira, D.Va

Despite Sombra's poor state in the game, she is a great addition to just about any team. Players will get the best use of her Hack when used on enemy tanks, or even overextending Genjis and Tracers. Moira's Biotic Orb can provide either healing or offensive assists as D.Va and Sombra work to take out the other team.

1. Winston, Mercy, Pharah

This may be one of the most frustrating compositions to play against, but it is one of the most successful ones. Pharah and Mercy are usually difficult to deal with when together, but having a Winston ensures Mercy will be even more difficult to take care of because she can fly between Pharah and Winston easily.
