Overwatch skins are the most exciting content to drop from any loot box, and there are so many amazing skins to choose from. Some are much rarer than others, and some aren't available at all anymore.
Here are the seven rarest skins in Overwatch.
7. Officer D.Va and Oni Genji
These two almost don't count because they used to be ultra rare, but thanks to fan intervention and outrage, the two skins were put into the game, available to drop.
Before, the only way to get these skins was complete five games in Heroes of the Storm during Nexus Challenge 2.0.
6. Noire Widowmaker
Noire Widowmaker was only available if you had the foresight to pre-order Overwatch initially, before the game was even released, two years ago. This ultra-cool skin is now the sign of an Overwatch veteran, all Widowmaker skills aside of course.
5. 12 Overwatch League "Away" Skins
This past May, Overwatch League fans who have Twitch's All Access Overwatch League Pass could recieve 12 free skins. 12 skins in total, the skins depicted Overwatch League teams in their away jerseys.
Fans received Junkrat, Reinhardt, Winston, Zenyatta, Genji, Lucio, Orisa, Widowmaker, Ana, D.Va, Sombra and Zarya.
4. Kerrigan Widowmaker
No longer available in to drop in the game, Kerrigan Widowmaker was only available this past March in celebration of StarCraft's 20th Anniversary. All you had to do was log in this past March and you received this amazing skin, turning Widowmaker into StarCraft's Kerrigan.
3. Pink Mercy
Also unfortunately not available to drop in the game anymore, Pink Mercy was only available to buy from the Blizzard Store during May of this year. Pink Mercy cost $15 and proceeds were donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
2. BlizzCon 2017 Winston
BlizzCon 2017 Winston was only available to those who purchased BlizzCon tickets or BlizzCon Virtual Tickets in 2017. BlizzCon Winston is not available in to drop in the game and was part of the virtual goodies that each BlizzCon attendee and Virtual Ticket holder received.
1. BlizzCon 2016 Bastion
BlizzCon 2016 Bastion is the most rare Overwatch skin because it was the first BlizzCon skin released for Overwatch and nobody had any provocation. BlizzCon 2017 Winston was easier to obtain because everyone had a feeling that Blizzard would again offer another exclusive BlizzCon skin, but Overwatch was new in 2016.
Some Overwatch skins are more rare than others but that doesn't necessarily make them better or cooler or prettier. Overwatch drops new skins all the time and it's all a matter of preference. That being said, if you have one or more of these rare skins you are very lucky and should equip them with pride!
