The New York Excelsior will throw a homecoming party to celebrate the inaugural season of Overwatch before the Overwatch League Grand Finals will take place at the Barclays Center July 27-28.

​​The event will feature industry panels, a $10,000 Overwatch free-for-all tournament (​sign up here), new NYXL merchandise, a retro arcade, music, food and partying.

​The second episode of Livin' XL will take place at the homecoming party, featuring panelists such as Rod "Slasher" Breslau, Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat and Robert "Hexagrams" Kirkbride. Panelists will discuss New York esports, the Overwatch League, and make predictions about the grand finals. 

Following the panel, the $10,000 free-for-all ​Overwatch tournament will begin. Eight Overwatch pros will compete against eight top qualified New York players for a share of the prize pool.

DJ Questlove is scheduled to perform at the event as well.

The NYXL homecoming esports party begins at 4 p.m. ET and stops at midnight. It will take place at the Sony Hall 235 West 46th Street, New York City.
