3 Takeaways From Dota 2 TI8 European Qualifier

OG came out as the winners of the European The International 8 qualifier, securing an invite for itself to TI8. Here are three takeaways from the Dota 2 TI8 European qualifier.

3. Big Organizations Missing in Europe

Whether it be from esports organizations lacking faith in the EU scene or that EU talent in Dota 2 is more willing to play in other regions, there was a lack of big time esports players getting involved with the teams in the EU region.

2. Unfortunate Finish for Alliance

Alliance has a historic history in Dota 2, but unfortunately the season for the team ended quickly during the EU qualifiers. The team went 3-4 in group stages and missed out on a chance to play in the playoffs.

Time to prepare for next season.

1. OG Clicking at the Right Time

OG has not had the best season in Dota 2, but a roster change has put them on the right patch to making a significant run at the International 8. Going 7-0 in the group stages before ultimately qualifying, this team is showing a renewed commitment to being one of the best.
