Team Canada announced its seven-player roster for the Overwatch World Cup group stage. 

The roster representing Canada at the Overwatch World Cup is:

  • Félix "xQc" Lengyel
  • Lucas "NotE" Meissner (Boston Uprising)
  • Brady "Agilities" Girardi (Los Angeles Valiant)
  • Liam "Mangachu" Campbell (XL2)
  • Lane "Surefour" Roberts (Los Angeles Gladiators)
  • Chris "Bani" Benell (Houston Outlaws)
  • William "Crimzo" Hernandez (Team Envy)

Team Canada's coach Justin "Jayne" Conroy revealed the decision for the final player on Team Canada's Overwatch World Cup roster came down to a vote because of how difficult it was to decide.

The final seven-player roster includes talent from both the Overwatch League and Overwatch Contenders, in addition to former Dallas Fuel tank and popular streamer xQc. Many players on Team Canada's 2018 roster are returning players from the year before.

Team Canada finished in second place at the 2017 Overwatch World Cup, after losing to Team South Korea. 

The group stages begin in August. Team Canada will play in the second group stage on Sept. 7 in Los Angeles, California.
