Rogue qualified through the FACEIT Americas Minor and is headed to the CS:GO FACEIT Major, set to take place in September.
Rogue have done it! They have qualified for the FACEIT Major following that 2-0 over compLexity @GoingRogueGG 16 - 11 @compLexity #FACEITMinor— FACEIT (@FACEIT) July 10, 2018
Rogue was the first team to qualify out of the Americas Minor, beating compLexity in the upper bracket finals. Rogue missed out on playing NRG, the main favorite of the event, after compLexity beat NRG in the semifinals.
In the Minor, Rogue went undefeated by beating Dignitas, eUnited and compLexity twice. The team was led by its leader, Spencer "Hiko" Martin, and is triumphant in the team's quest to make the Major.
Rogue will join the Major and play in the New Challenger Stage. There, the team will meet the the seven other qualifies from the three other Minors, and the eight teams that were in the New Legends Stage last Major.
This is a good result for the Rogue. This is a team that is on the lower level of North American CS:GO, so making it to the biggest event of the year is an accomplishment.
