Cloud9 is in the process of adding Swedish rifler Maikil "Golden" Selim on loan, according to multiple sources close to the player and organization. Golden is under contract with Fnatic after he was replaced by former Ninjas in Pyjamas AWPer William “draken” Sundin. Golden practiced with the team Wednesday, and if it goes well, the loan would extend for one event in attempt to find out if Golden is the right fit for the team going forward.

Golden would replace Tarik “Tarik” Celik, who has finalized a deal with Immortals to join Made in Brazil, talks of which were first reported by DBLTAP. Tarik will join former Cloud9 teammate Jake “Stewie2k” Yip once again and replace Ricardo “Boltz” Prass on the active MiBR roster. Golden spent almost all of his time with Fnatic and Fnatic Academy as an in-game leader, winning both IEM Katowice and WESG earlier in the year.

Martin “STYKO” Styk, who stood in for Cloud9 at ESL One Cologne, will remain on the roster for now. Like Golden, STYKO is also on loan but is expected to join the official roster if a buyout can be negotiated with mousesports, who benched STYKO in favor of Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski before ESL One Cologne.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Pujan "FNS" Mehta will remain on the Cloud9 bench indefinitely. The next event on Cloud9's schedule is the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier, which begins July 21

Cloud9 declined comment.
