Nico Bahary, a Microsoft executive producer working on the PUBG for Xbox version of PLAYERUNKNOWN's BATTLEGROUNDS, revealed Friday the long-requested First Person Perspective mode will enter the game's public test server.

The game mode is only available for Solo and Squad queues, and will be unavailable for Duos. PUBG Corp have not officially announced when the game mode would be available for Duos play. According to Bahary's announcement, the game mode will be available for the weekend, though he did not specify an end date.

FPP mode allows players to play a more difficult version of PUBG in which they are entirely restricted to the first person perspective. FPP offers certain advantages in precise aiming, but it comes with it's own disadvantages. Players will no longer be able to use third person to peek around corners, and will need to be more mindful of their surroundings as a result.

The latest development comes at the end of a busy week for the Xbox version of the game. The public test server went live Wednesday with weapon and balance changesnew items and the ability for players to see the perspective of opponents who killed them.
