PUBG Corp's latest Community Update focuses on the new PUBG Games Invitational Event Mode, where players can play using the same rules as the professionals. The community update also included results for Stage 1 of PUBG Games Invitational, and new skin releases.

The new PUBG Global Invitational game mode includes all of the rules that the professional teams adhere to in the actual tournament. The perspective is locked into first person, and weapon spawns are much more generous with loot rarity.

The blue zone is significantly more aggressive in this mode, and the red zones are disabled entirely. The event begun on Thursday 10 p.m. ET and will end Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.

The community update also revealed each of the new PUBG PGI merchandise skins, as well as the standings for the first stage of the tournament.

Gen.G Gold came out the victors of the third person perspective stage, beating out Team Liquid for the top spot.
