The official Overwatch World Cup uniforms for Team South Korea were revealed Thursday.
The Overwatch Contenders Korea Facebook page uploaded a photo that displayed the new uniform.
The picture featured Park "Saebyeolbe" Jong-ryeol, Kim "Libero" Hae-seong, Lee "Carpe" Jae-heyok, Koo "Fate" Pan-seung, Kim "Mek0" Tae-hong, Bang "JJoNak" Seung-hyun, and Hong "ArK" Yeon-joon -- the seven-player roster that will represent South Korea at the Overwatch World Cup.
The starting roster consists mainly of players from the New York Excelsior, who were back-to-back stage champions in Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the Overwatch League. Carpe, a member of the Philadelphia Fusion who played at the grand finals, will also play for Team South Korea.
The group stages begin Aug. 16, in South Korea. Team Russia, Japan, Finland, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and Hong Kong will compete to advance to the playoffs, held at BlizzCon in November. South Korea won the 2016 and 2017 World Cup and has the potential at defending its title in this year's event.
