Less than a week before the start of The International 8, Virtus.Pro has re-signed its entire Dota 2 roster with contracts set to expire after the 2019 season.

Virtus Pro, which has one of the best Dota 2 rosters in the world, has made the decision to keep all five players in the organization for at least another year. The team has won more than $2.5 million in prize money this season and has won four separate Majors, including ESL One Hamburg, ESL One Katowice, The Bucharest Major, and ESL One Birmingham. VP also came in second in The China Dota 2 Supermajor after losing to Team Liquid in the last map of the best-of-five final.

"As obvious as it may sound, Virtus.pro is our second family," captain Alexey "Solo" Berezin said in a news release. "As we approach TI 2018, the contract renewal is extremely important for us. We understand the trust our organization puts on us and the gravity of the matter."

This announcement comes just days after Virtus Pro decided to change their uniform colors from their iconic orange to green and purple, in accordance with a sponsorship with MegaFon. The team is preparing to stop Team Liquid from becoming back-to-back International champions and begins play in just days.
