Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, the face of Fortnite: Battle Royale and the biggest Twitch streamer, explained why he chooses not to stream with female gamers to Polygon Saturday.

"I don't play with female gamers. If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we’re playing with one another, and even if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever," said Ninja to Polygon.

The decision to not stream with female gamers was made entirely by him, without any push from his wife, Jessica "Jghosty" Blevins. He claims that he doesn't want to put his wife through any sort of drama that could ensue from him streaming Fortnite with female gamers or talking to them on the Twitch platform.

"There hasn’t been a single female gamer or streamer on Twitch or anything like that who’s been upset about that. I honestly think that it’s just kinda like a respect thing," said Ninja when asked about possible pushback.

The decision, albeit a controversial and divisive one, is something that Ninja is sticking to. He believes that the only way to avoid gossip is to not play with female gamers at all.
