The head coach for Team Spain's Overwatch World Cup cup roster, Sergi "Paranoid" Carrasco Marsiñach, confirmed he was no longer a part of Team Spain, after Jonathan "HarryHook" Tejedor Rua broke the news through Twitter.

Paranoid revealed he resigned from the position of Team Spain's head coach and both the country's committee and the Overwatch World Cup organizers were aware of the decision. According to Paranoid, he resigned because of personal reasons.

"I can't give my 100 percent because of my personal and emotional state, and for this reason and by medical recommendation, I believe another person should go in my place who can dedicate all the work and effort the team deserves," he wrote.

HarryHook broke the news through his Twitter first, claiming Blizzard would not allow Team Spain to find a new head coach for the event.

Team Spain will compete in the Overwatch World Cup Thailand group stage in September. The team will also play without Alberto "neptuNo" González, who revealed he would not compete in the event because of burnout.
