Epic Games announced Fortnite Season 6 will begin Sept. 27. It also revealed it will grant bonus XP to players until Monday to celebrate the new season.

Fortnite Season 6 will officially go live Thursday, Epic Games revealed. The game's Season 5 is in its final days and players will have a limited amount of time to complete the challenges in the season in order to get all Battle Pass rewards.

"Celebrate its arrival and unlock those final Battle Pass rewards with an additional 400 percent match XP all weekend, from now until Sept. 24 at 8 a.m. ET," the post read. Players will be rewarded with the XP bonus on all live servers.

The mysterious Fortnite purple cube that was around for a large part of Season 5 reached its destination, Loot Lake, before sinking into the water and turning it into a massive bounce pad. It also destroyed the recently rebuilt building in Tilted Towers.
