Noah "Nifty" Francis is in discussion with Team Envy about joining as a fifth and final player, according to multiple sources close to the player and team.

The rest of the expected CS:GO roster, as reported Monday by DBLTAP, includes Josh "jdm" Marzano, Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen, Steve "reltuC" Cutler and Tayler "Drone" Johnson. The plans to compete in Season 8 of ESL Pro League North America in a spot held by the three ex-Splyce players.

Nifty has been a member of the Renegades organization since early 2017, spending a significant amount of time as an in-game leader and AWPer. During his time as a leader, the team often qualified for many large international events but fell short during the offline portion. Most recently, Renegades failed to reach the New Legends stage of the FACEIT Major: London. Before Renegades, Nifty made a name for himself while playing for Selfless Gaming.

Only two days remain before the World Esports Association roster lock for ESL Pro League in preparation for the Oct. 2 start date for the online portion of the tournament. Envy’s roster would have to be set by then.

Team Envy declined comment.
