Mike Sepso, a Major League Gaming co-founder and former Activision Blizzard senior vice president, has joined the New York Excelsior as a strategic partner to the ownership group, according to a Thursday press release from the team.
Sepso recently left Activision Blizzard after playing an integral part in the design and launch of the Overwatch League. During his tenure, he oversaw global commercial partnerships for the company's esports division and set industry records in sponsorship sales. Previously, at MLG, he
Sepso will bring entrepreneurial vision, global relationships and 16 years of executive experience in esports to bear in his new role at NYXL.

The NYXL will return to competition when Overwatch League Season 2 begins Feb. 14.
